Romanian-born pianist Kristian Banatzianou has made numerous appearances as a soloist and
collaborative pianist throughout Bulgaria, Austria, the United Kingdom, Romania, Slovakia, and
the United States. Mr. Banatzianou holds degrees from the National School of Music in Sofia,
Bulgaria, the Bulgarian State Academy of Music, the University of South Florida, and the
Cleveland Institute of Music. A prizewinner of numerous international competitions, Mr.
Banatzianou has made recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television stations. His
major teachers include Mili Belcheva, Tryphon Silyanovsky, Dora Lazarova, Anita Pontremoli, and
Daniel Shapiro.
